IFLRY Political Youth Strategy and Networking Event

We would hereby like to invite you to apply for the upcoming IFLRY Political Youth Strategy and Networking Event. The event will take place in Vilnius, Lithuania between the 19th and 21st of October 2018. We would like to extend our gratitude to the D66 Party of the Netherlands as the sponsor for this event.

The IFLRY Belarus and Ukraine Programme has been working on the improvement of political youth work in Belarus for many years. With the upcoming Strategy and Networking Event we want to provide a forum for activists of political youth organization to reflect on the aims and goals of political youth work in Belarus, exchange best practice and experiences and network to achieve better cooperation.
The organizers will also invite trainers who will provide input on innovative methods of strategic planning, motivation of activists and organizational development to give the event an organizational frame. Moreover, the event will provide a platform to develop ideas for inter-organizational collaboration. The format is open for activists from different ideologies and political directions and wants to focus on strategies for a positive development of political youth work.

The specific outcomes of the event are as anticipated as follows:

• The participants learn from best practice from their Belarusian colleagues and international trainers.
• They discuss actual problems and issues of political youth work in Belarus and draw specific conclusions.
• They develop strategies to improve cooperation between political youth organizations in Belarus.

As usual IFLRY will organize the event within the framework of non-formal education which means that the facilitators will use an extensive participatory approach to include the ideas of the participants and achieve outcomes that are useful and realistic for implementation in the Belarusian environment. Short input and best-practice sessions will be framed by extensive group-work and direct cooperation of the participants.

We encourage especially activists from the leadership of political youth organizations, youth wings of political parties and movements and political campaigns focused on youth issues to apply for this event. The event is not suitable for individuals looking for possibilities of self-improvement or individual education.

The call is open until the 23rd of September 2018.
